Job Summary: 

This individual is responsible for overall site environmental and government body compliance/reporting through the implementation of best in class environmental compliance management system(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the job include building a sustainable environmental management system, that provides coordination in all environmental areas including air, waste and water. This role ensures environmental compliance with applicable state and federal environmental permits and regulations.

  • Complete site environmental chemical reporting (e.g.- Tier ii, Form R, TRI)
  • Hazardous Waste reporting, manifests, and profile for lowest cost streams
  • Prepare and submit air emission reports
  • Oversee and actively update environmental compliance programs (air, waste/storm water and solid waste management)
  • Responsible for environmental agency site visits or inspections
  • Be the voice of environmental for all management of change activities including capital projects
  • Ensures government body compliance and builds excellent relationships with our community
  • Assists with regulatory system and product regulatory compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Environmental, Health, Safety or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. 
  • 5 Plus years in the life as a EH&S professional in Industry.
  • Previous experience in specialty chemical field

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organization, computer literacy etc.
  • Ability to write regulatory reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
