Position Summary:

As an Engineering Technician, you are a key contributor to Baxter Manufacturing regarding product development, process improvement, change management, first article inspection, warranty analysis, and field service projects. You will support operations, sourcing, finance, production engineering, and new product development. It is your responsibility to follow the schedule provided by the engineering supervisor and execute all activities quickly and accurately, including but not limited to those outlined below.


This position reports to the Engineering Supervisor.

Responsibilities: (Selected candidate will be mentored in these areas to develop required competency)

Conduct lab testing in accordance with standards for current product and new product.

Operate basic lab equipment such as meters, data logger, Hi Pot testers, gas analyzers, etc.…

Develop test procedures, set up tests, execute tests, write test reports, and archive information.

Complete root cause analysis for design failures, test failures, field failures, etc.

Ensure equipment calibration is up to date for lab and the plant environment.

Conduct warranty analysis, trend charts, and hold month meetings

Generate and revise operations & installation manuals, parts manuals and specification sheets.

Generate and revise plant work instructions, process mapping, and training material.

Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for product designs, fixtures, and gauges.

Manage engineering change control process (CAD link, Epicor, ECN, BOM, etc.).

Conduct first article inspections and first production run inspections.

Lead Agency (UL, EPA, Gas) audits and filings.

High School Diploma or Equivalent




Laboratory experience is a plus but not required

Sheetmetal experience is a plus but not required

Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus but not required

Other Considerations:

Travel less than 5% of the time

Ability to handle and lift equipment and tools weighing over 25lbs. (following lifting guidelines)

Ability to work 5 9-hour shifts Monday thru Friday.

Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
