With products manufactured at locations around the globe serving markets in North America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Australia. The Global Tool Unit (GTU) is a part of ITW’s Construction Segment. The GTU aims to be the global leader of high performing Cordless Power Fastening Systems for the professional construction trades through innovation and delivery of high-quality products. Our highly differentiated tools are specified to be used in a variety of applications including wood framing, wood trim, and steel to concrete installations. Tools, and related fasteners, account for a significant portion of total segment revenues.

New Product Development Project Execution_Deliver Results

  • Mainly responsible for the successful NPD project execution and long term performance of the assigned product segment in high collaboration with Marketing.
  • Create appropriate technical plans, upgrade and execute design excellence best practices and ensures key performance indicators.
  • Lead engineers to focus on effectively identifying and mitigating key technical risks ( i.e. using DVP&R), driving systematic problem solving (using tools such as A3, DFMEA, Design of Experiments) and enhancing design inputs through early engagement of cross-functional teamwork (DFMA, T-stack up, Serviceability reviews, etc.)
  • Mentors the team and effectively translates Voice of the Customer into technical and system engineering requirements that will solve our key customer’s needs.
