Job Description


Manage engineering documentation standards and best practices for product development and product sustaining teams in Equipment Divisions. Documentation best practices pertain to creating and revising drawings, bills of materials and managing the engineering change process (ECO).


  • Provide assistance and expertise to Equipment Divisions when corrections are needed in Omnify (PLM) or SolidWorks Professional (PDM) or other new systems being considered in the future. This individual has the Gold Key to make any and all changes in Omnify.
  • Provide engineering documentation support for Product Design Compliance, Quality Services, Intellectual Property, Technical Publications, Product Testing, Component Divisions and other central departments.
  • Provide technical support for AutoCAD users, OrCAD users (by maintaining CIP/CIS library) and users of Perforce software revision tool.
  • Provide guidance on interface between PLM and ERP systems.

Job Requirements


  • Two-year technical degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in product development or support.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient using Microsoft Office, Omnify, PDM Professional, and AutoCAD.
  • Analytical, organized, and detail oriented with the ability to concurrently manage several projects and tasks.
  • Effective Communicator - able to understand and interpret technical information pertaining to engineering documentation and communicate this information to Divisions and provide logical rationalization.
  • Self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
