Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced maintenance electrician to install, repair, and maintain facility equipment, electrical, electronic components of industrial machinery, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed production machines and equipment

  • Connects power supply wiring to machines and equipment

  • Connects cables and wiring between machines and equipment

  • Diagnoses malfunctioning Items such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged component

  • Tests and repairs malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notifies appropriate personnel

  • Uses welding skills/equipment (TIG, Stick, Torch) to fabricate and repair chutes, conveyors, hoppers, etc.

  • Reads electrical blueprints

  • Replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches and motors, and positions sensing devices

  • Diagnoses and repairs faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards (solder component level wiring and/or component)

  • Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical components in building

  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and equipment

  • Maintains current knowledge and actively addresses safety and environmental issues

  • Other duties may include: janitorial, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, security, carpentry

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma & electrician certification, or associates degree from a Technical College required

  • Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints

  • Apprenticeship or Journeyman experience preferred

  • Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations

  • Forklift Truck Experience preferred

  • 3-5+ years maintenance and electrical experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to complete routine production and quality reports.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
