Job Description

Hobart Service, an ITW Company, is an international service provider for the food service and food retail industries. Our service expertise includes cooking and food preparation equipment, warewashers and waste handling, weigh wrappers, baking and refrigeration. We have just over 1,000 service technicians across 46 states that create a national network of factory-trained service representatives.

Hobart Service is looking for an experienced Dispatcher. This position is critical to the ongoing success and growth of our business, effective and timely deployment of our experienced Field Service Technicians. The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties associated with dispatching to provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service to our customers. There will be frequent contact with other Branch team members as well as customers and outside stakeholders, requiring world class customer service to establish and maintain good and lasting relationships. 
 
General Duties:
  • Proactively schedule service orders for assigned Service Technicians possibly for more than one Branch; Supply relevant information needed to effectively complete the service order; Assign priority to Service orders based on multiple factors (Service Technician skill set and availability, customer type, age of the call, etc.)
  • Actively manage parts status reports to effectively schedule on hold orders and influence faster completion for Service Orders
  • Follow up on completed Service Orders to verify customer satisfaction
  • Schedule Preventive Maintenance, Maintenance Inspections, and Installations (if applicable for to Branch)
  • Understand 3rd Party Companies/technology platforms utilized by our key accounts to oversee proper procedures are being followed
  • Assist with office management functions as necessary, such as tracking consignment, helping walk-in customers, shipping/receiving, handling phone calls for supervisor, preparation of equipment repair quotes, etc.
To be considered further you must have the following:
  • Accredited High School diploma or GED; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of dispatching or related customer service experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling competing priorities
  • Ability to see concepts and patterns in complex situations to develop solutions that effectively address underlying problems/root causes
  • Superb customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products excel, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Physical Requirements:
  • Extensive periods of time on phone and in a seated position
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
  • OT as required
