Job Description

This position is responsible for developing the “Go-to-Market” strategy for OTC parts sales and driving profitable revenue and market share growth of key Hobart Parts through our branches, distribution, independent service providers and large key direct accounts.  The ideal candidate will have experience outlining a very strategic approach to the business model and be able to execute that in the market.    In addition, this person will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers to identify needs and requirements to promote Hobart Parts solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.

  • Develop “Go-to-Market” business strategy, including pricing & discount models, sales channels, sales team requirements and marketing tools to drive market share gains and maximize profitability.
  • Conduct market research to identify current business models by other manufactures and customer requirements as the basis to create new business model for Hobart Parts.
  • Develop key value positioning that will be the foundation for customer presentations, pricing proposals/models and other sales tools
  • Identify, develop, manage, and maintain relationships with strategic channel partners to achieve assigned sales goals and growth targets.
  • Develop a model for sales forecasts and pipelines to ensure visibility of future sales.
  • Expand relationships with existing partners by uncovering expansion opportunities, developing and driving go-to-market strategies
  • Identify and track relevant metrics of success and periodically report to the executive leadership team on status.
  • Interact effectively with customers, clearly articulating the Hobart Parts value proposition and providing solutions that improve outcomes for keeping equipment up and running.
  • Bachelors degree with relevant business development and sales experience; MBA preferred
  • Experience in business development and market strategy positioning; 10+ years preferred
  • Sales experience in providing solutions based on customer needs; 7+ years preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent MS Office (Excel, MSQuery, Access, PowerPoint) capabilities required
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong negotiation skills
