Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Digital Marketing Intern – ITW Food Equipment Group

LOCATION: Troy, Ohio

REPORTS TO: Director of Brand Marketing – ITW Food Equipment Group

DESCRIPTION:

As part of the ITW Food Equipment Group Brand Marketing team, support the brands, product lines and sales organization by developing and coordinating digital marketing and content initiatives. This position is responsible for the quality of our online/digital presence, including the implementation of online content/campaigns, tools and programs to support both frontline sales and customers who are researching our brand. The ultimate measurement of success will be positive engagement with our brand through our online channels (websites and social media). Core responsibilities include: creating and enabling personalized content and communications for our web visitors, creating/promoting our customers’ success stories; increase lead generation and qualification, and improve visibility to ROI (measurement and reporting of KPIs).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

-   Maintain, update and enhance content on our company websites in a timely manner.

-   Identify opportunities to improve the user-experience on websites.

-   Work with web partners to develop new online tools to support frontline sales, customers, etc.

-   Create and execute a Content Marketing Strategy/Plan targeted to customer buying personas.

o  Create content to support content marketing strategy/plan (i.e., brand videos, customer story videos, thought leadership articles, infographics, etc.)

o  Maintain blog, working with company experts and writers to produce a library of subject matter expert articles.

o  Create/implement targeted online marketing campaigns (brand-specific).

-   Develop and manage regional Social Media program/schedule (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).

-   Manage brand-specific paid (PPC) search and remarketing advertising campaigns (if applicable).

-   Be aware of leading trends and what others in our industry are doing (relating to marketing).

-   Other duties as assigned or as required.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

Must be a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate has experience managing digital marketing initiatives (including Search, Social Media and E-mail Marketing) and digital user-experience (UX) design; is detail-oriented, a strategic thinker, passionate about serving others and understands how to strategically apply communications according to what is relevant and resonates with the target audience. Mastery of the English language and ability to effectively write copy is a must.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

-   Ability to work within or learn to work within website content management systems (e.g., Drupal) and marketing automation software (e.g., Hubspot).

-   Basic knowledge of graphic editing tools (i.e., Photoshop).

-   Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, effectively communicating and setting expectations.

-   A proactive, creative sense – always considering new ways to creatively solve online marketing and communications needs within the organization.

-   A sense of professionalism and a keen eye for detail.

-   Be cost effective at all times.


-   Ability to communicate/collaborate with peers, senior management and customers across cultures.
