The primary responsibility of the Customer Sales Representative is to generate sales leads for all products and services offered by the Company. This is achieved by contacting existing customers and prospects in the market, actively promoting our products through phone call campaigns, emails, e-blasts and other department organized initiatives and campaigns.


  • Actively contact customers and prospects by phone, email and other communication means to generate sales leads for the entire range of products and services on offer

  • Qualify sales leads and progress them through the buying cycle while identifying customer needs, budgets, decision makers and sales timeframes

  • Develop long standing relationships with customers and prospects by providing specialist advice and nurture sales leads to maturation

  • Achieve lead generation targets on a weekly basis

  • Develop high level of understanding of industrial capital equipment solutions to effectively communicate product and services offerings

  • Actively communicate sales projects with Regional Sales Managers and collaborate with internal functions to achieve sales targets

  • Maintain CRM database for all call and marketing activities

  • Prepare basic product and service proposals to customers as needed

  • Log and create opportunities in CRM for quotation and on-site visits

  • Collect and analyze competitor information with Product Managers

  • Prepare e-shot data and deployment schedule with the Marketing Department

  • Occasionally travel with Regional Sales Managers to customer sites for product and customer facing training

  • Ensure accurate up to date information is maintained within various databases

  • In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their supervisor that are essentially related to their duties

Job Requirements


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service or similar discipline

  • Ability to sell to customers and meet targets

  • Excellent communication skills and manner on the phone

  • Good listener and able to translate customer needs into a solution

  • Ability to accept changes in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Can do attitude, courteous, friendly and positive

  • Results driven, hands-on approach

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • High level of proficiency with office software applications

  • Must be able to occasionally travel (approx.5%) to customer sites as needed


  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related business field

  • Experience of working in a capital equipment / machinery manufacturing industry

  • Technical background and/or industrial application understanding
