Location: Troy, OH, 25 minutes north of Dayton, OH

Illinois Tool Works (ITW) is a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturing company with seven decentralized business segments, which includes Food Equipment. ITW Food Equipment Group, dominates commercial food equipment companies in North America and is seeking a Computer Science Intern for the Warewash Business Division at its Troy, Ohio location, 25 minutes north of Dayton.

The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers for hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, schools and universities, cruise ships, and retail. We are in search of a computer science intern to assist the IT department complete several projects.

Reporting to the IT Manager, the intern will be assigned various projects during the term of the work period. The individual will be responsible closely working with the department to provide end-user support for PCs, servers, and business systems. Additionally, the intern will assist with identification and analysis of system options (packaged software/custom development), work with the Network Support team to resolve network communication issues and ensure security and change control procedures are followed. As part of the responsibility during the intern period, the successful candidate will support the IT department in meeting the business needs of the organization. At the end of the summer term, the intern will present an end-of-work term report on projects assigned.

We seek candidates with problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, are self-starters, and can work within a team environment. The individual should also be capable of effective oral and written communication.


Job Requirements

The minimum qualifications are:

 Classwork toward a BS Degree in Computer Science or relative degree

 MS Office application proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)

 Working knowledge of .Net Development and languages (C#, VB.Net, C++, etc.)

 Familiarity with SQL Database design, support and database queries
