Job Description

This individual is responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and managing software for our Hartness Connect platform.  The individual will become part of a small team of developers who will help get this platform off the ground. The job also includes database management, data analytics, networking setup, Windows setup and support, and interfacing with industrial control systems such as PLCs and Robots. The job includes working with the team to plan and create new software products and enhance and maintain existing ones. 

 What you will do:

  • Be part of a small team who will develop and maintain all aspects of a saleable customer focused software/hardware platform.
  • Develop and maintain large amounts of complex and interconnected software packages.
  • Field technical support issues raised by customers.
  • Work with customers and internal engineers, technicians, and other professionals to understand problems and develop integrated solutions.
  • Test, debug, modify, and validate all system functions prior to shipment.
What we are looking for:
  • Computer Science/Computer Engineering Degree or similar
  • Expertise in software development (.NET, Visual Studio, Visual Basic, C/C++)
  • Experience with database management (SQL)
  • Experience with web development (HTML, ASP.NET)
  • Experience in PLC programming is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with FANUC Robotics or other industrial robots a plus, but not required.
  • AutoCad / CAD experience a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office programs including spreadsheets, email, and documents
