The Opportunity
The Compliance and Logistics Manager is responsible for leading a small team that focusses on ensuring that all import/export transactions comply with applicable federal and international regulations and then working with the business to support global material transportation over road, air, and ocean. 
We are looking for a subject matter expert in all matters of global logistics and import/export compliance.  Successful candidates should possess the necessary education and have relevant compliance, logistics and team leadership experience to excel at the following:
  • Supervising shipment coordinator staff for all inbound and outbound international and domestic freight
  • Working with the business and finance teams to recognize revenue based on the contracted delivery terms with the customer
  • Managing all packaging and crating of capital systems and accessories to ensure that products arrive at customer destinations free of damage
  • Assisting internal and external customers with claims resulting from shipping damage
  • Strong coach with the ability to hire, develop and retain a diverse pipeline of great talent. Direct experience of managing and developing a team of highly capable employees
  • A global mindset. Must be culturally aware and be able to build constructive and effective relationships across the organization
  • A positive attitude focused on understanding, anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers, both internal and external to the department and organization
  • Maintaining productive relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, Customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure adherence to established SOPs
  • Strong attention to detail and integrity
