Calibration Engineer – Norwood, MA

The Opportunity
This position will have primary responsibility for the development of new calibration procedures, and updating of existing procedures, used by the Field Service organization to deliver calibration services worldwide.  This includes technical content, adherence to quality and metrology principles and standards (e.g. ISO 17025), and final documentation.  The new procedures will be based on existing ISO or ASTM methods and standards, Understanding in detail, existing standards and translate them to practical application is critical.  The final methods must pass technical and quality audits by an external lab accreditation agency
 
Other duties and responsibilities include developing and documenting procedures and equipment necessary to implement new calibration services, developing technical specification for calibration equipment to expand our in-house calibration lab’s capabilities and supporting and improving existing procedures.
 

Requirements

Successful candidates should possess a Mechanical Engineering degree or other technical degree with sound mechanical aptitude and 2-5 years’ experience working with processes, engineering or quality documentation. Excellent organization, attention to detail and writing skills are also required for this role.
