Position Summary:

The Business Analyst will report to the Director of Sales and Engineering with dotted line responsibility to the Sales Managers. They will be responsible for developing and executing sales quote planning, summaries and analysis to support the Deltar Fasteners Division. The team will look to the Business Analyst to help establish/streamline quote policies and procedures throughout the department, support best practices in sales quote forecasting, reporting and communications. Goals will be based on being a business partner mentality, accuracy of data, organization & timely delivery of quote data reports.  The Business Analyst will work with all OEM teams to align systems and data to report quote revenue projections, performance metrics and provide analysis on metrics.



•         Partner with the OEM, Tier Sales Managers, Sales Analyst and the Deltar Division Controller to develop and execute long range & annual sales plans using the “Protect, Proliferate & Innovate” framework.



•         Be a business partner with accounting and commercial. Developing relationships that provide insight and a landscape to operations that helps raise the bar in overall accuracy of monthly, quarterly & annual outlook relative to quoting activity.

•         Track and analyze key quote metrics – pipeline growth and quote attainment.

•         Collect, consolidate and generate weekly quote activity (report monthly and quarterly).  Information to be shared with sales managers and other management as needed.

•         Proactively analyze win/lost data and report on key findings to sales leadership.

•         Develop presentations that analyze quote and sales activity.

•         Create dashboards that will assist in successful future quoting based on past analysis.

•         Align with operations on grow-ready products and capacity planning.

•         Compare forecast to actual results. Specifically, key performance indicators such as sales reports, sales expenses, dollar per car by segment or OEM, new and lost business, etc., for the purpose of detecting undesirable trends at an early stage in order to take prompt remedial action for specific OEM.

•         Identify addressable market and develop business plan to clarify where to invest.

•         Tracks and supports database by leading the verification, accuracy and archiving of $/per data (Saphran) and the division performance on “Sold Projects”.

•         Apply the ITW Toolbox to projects and strategies implemented.


•         Champion talent development through ITW’s Leadership Framework

•         Maintain a continuing analysis of key performance indicators (KPI’s)

•         Actively measure and hold self, team and business accountable to the KPI’s

•         Motivate and inspire a culture of high performance

Job Requirements


•       Education/Experience:              

Bachelor’s degree - B.A. /B.S. from four-year College or University in Business, Finance or Accounting (or equivalent experience).  Master’s Degree/CPA a plus.

•        3-5 years of experience in accounting field of work

•        Willing to travel periodically; primarily domestic and occasionally world-wide.
