Job Description

ITW Electronics Component Solutions is made up of three brands; Lumex Linx and Formex, each of which are strongly recognized by Contract Manufacturers, OEM’s, and Distributors in the Electronics Market.  The Division delivers value added solutions to the LED/LCD market in addition to the Surge Protection market.


Position Summary:

This individual will have a working knowledge of the LED/LCD technologies, electronic assembly manufacturing processes and Electrical Surge Protection technologies. This role will be responsible for supporting the program management of a specific product area or market application.



  • Support Business Development Specialists, Managers, and customers for Lumex and Linx Brands

  • Provide Application Support for Linx and Lumex products

  • Participate in use of “customer backed innovation process” as assigned

  • Support the sales organization in technical presentations and sales conventions

  • Lead Project Management for HiPo programs. (HiPo = High potential/High Confidence meeting 80/20 criteria)

  • Accepting, logging, and returning customer supplied material

  • Purchasing materials using MRD tools

  • Utilize optimization techniques using hardware/software to enhance process yields

  • Document process developments in the form of reports, white papers and presentations

  • Assist in training on upgrades and specials to product support, field service and tech support

  • Design/costing of customer specific upgrades and specials

  • Support new product release.

Job Requirements

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Education:  B.S. in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience: 4+ years

  • Advanced experience in LED/LCD Electronics capabilities and application

  • Working knowledge of SMT and through whole manufacturing process.

  • Working knowledge of Surge Protection as it relates to Electrical Applications

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Project Management.

  • Advanced knowledge of quality systems and procedures including ISO9001:2015 for electronics assembly.

  • Strong written communications skills, including engineering test procedure, plans, reports and operating manuals.

  • Strong computer skills including Power BI, Excel, Power Point and the Microsoft suite.

  • Working Knowledge of Operating systems such as: QAD; SAP: ROI.


    Physical requirements and working conditions:

    The working conditions include standing, bending, sitting at workstation operating PC and or answering Phones, walking, light lifting of equipment or components up to 35 pounds.

    Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
