This position’s primary duty will be to provide technical guidance to our customers, sales and marketing. Responsibilities include performing laboratory work as defined by customer needs. This may include technical service support, special collaborative projects with customers, application and testing of our products along with new product evaluation. S/He would be responsible for capturing accurate data and information regarding our commercial and experimental products in formulated applications. This may include testing various coatings applications, including spray techniques.  Other responsibilities include testing the application of automotive detailing products, working with Marketing & R&D to translate industry needs into new projects and evaluate the results. S/He will help resolve product quality issues by working with production and quality to ensure laboratory raw materials and sundry items are in stock and full laboratory capabilities are maintained. (i.e. resins, solvents, pigments, lab utensils, containers, preventive maintenance on necessary equipment).


  • Experience in the auto body repair industry, ideally 5+ years. Knowledgeable in body work and other procedures related to repair applications including spray techniques for applying primer and paint. 
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proactive approach to identify and complete tasks and excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with a variety of people and in a truly professional approach. 
  • Flexible and adaptable personality; ability to change as Evercoat introduces new products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Up to 30% travel


  • Two-year degree in chemistry, engineering, material science or other technical areas.
  • Experience in Automotive Detailing applications.
  • Multi-Media Presentation Skills.
  • ICAR training a plus
