Texwipe, an Illinois Tool Works Company, is a global leader in contamination control serving Life Science, Microelectronics and Industrial markets. We are currently looking for an experienced Application Engineer.



Job Responsibilities:


·      Plan the process of integrating applications that important to business operations and employee productivity. Includes Microsoft Office Products, Company Cellular Telephone Network, ERP System, SPC System, Document Control System, Label Printing System, and Web Services.


·      Recommend software applications that aid in employee productivity.


·      Work with IT Manager to complete upgrades. Coordinate activities to ensure that application upgrades will integrate with the current network system.


·      Assign access and permission levels to employees for applications.


·      Provide technical support to local and remote users on approved hardware, software and peripherals in person, by phone or other form of communication as required.


·      Provide applications support to all Texwipe sites as needed.


·      Provide support to sustain all e-commerce systems as directed.


·      Install, configure, maintain and support telecommunication systems including phone system, video conferencing, conference calling and cell phones.


·      Manage and troubleshoot application problems.


·      Work with application vendors for installation, setup, troubleshooting and upgrades.


·      Ensure that software complies with the company’s software policy.

Job Requirements


·      Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, plus 5 years of relevant experience.


·      Preferred experience in Network Operating Systems - Microsoft Windows Server, Linux Red Hat, Desktop Operating Systems - Microsoft, Application packages - Microsoft Office required, Adobe, SQL.


·      Installation and configuration experience with Servers, PCs, printers, plotters, routers, switches, telecom systems and timekeeping clocks and non-standard devices.


·      Establish priorities and work independently with limited supervision                                                   


·      Computer literacy in spreadsheets, word processing and presentation graphics.                                            


·      Effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, employees and customers.


·      Must be able to work a flexible work schedule with minimal or no prior notice.
