Core Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and coordinate company events including town hall presentations, sales meeting, HR related presentations, etc.
  • Provide assistance with facility upkeep including planning and coordinating facility maintenance, janitorial needs, and office improvement projects. Place service calls when needed
  • Participate in and audit 5S activities in the manufacturing environment.
  • Support plant safety initiatives, activities and works with safety leader to ensure compliance
  • Maintain and order office supply inventory.
  • Compose, edit, proofread, and types basic documents; create mail merges and perform mass mailings; photocopy and collate basic material to ensure timely communication and retention of documents. 
  • Enter data and generate reports to ensure accurate processing and record keeping. 
  • Build credibility within the organization by using good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track and submit monthly expenses utilizing Concur.
  • Serve on cross functional safety committee and provide administrative assistance.
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements: 

  • HS Diploma or GED, required
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  • Have knowledge of office administrative procedures at a level generally acquired through 1+ year’s related experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy and ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must be organized, able to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports.
  • Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers/decimals and the ability to apply concepts of business math to practical situations.
  • Exhibits good personal organization skills and interpersonal skills and works well with a variety of people from different backgrounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical office and manufacturing working conditions.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the manufacturing areas. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to grip, grasp, reach, push and pull with hands and arms, walk, stand, speak and listen. Occasionally climb, kneel, bend, and sit. The employee must frequently lift, push and pull 5-20 pounds and occasionally lift, push and pull up 20-40 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required by this position to include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
