Basic Function: Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the daily operations and strategic objectives of the Company’s accounts receivable cycle through design, implementation, maintenance, and management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures for the Accounts Receivable collection process. 



Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Overseeing cash receipts process.

  • Handle collection of accounts by e-mailing, calling customers, writing collection letters,  discussing delinquent accounts with management.  Take appropriate action on collection irregularities, adjustments, complaints, and inquiries.

  • Evaluates customer payment history and plans course of action that account be closed, credit limit reduced, extended, or revoked.

  • Approves credit terms for all sales within guideline of company policy.

  • Review aged trial balance to highlight collection problems and potential bad debts.  On a monthly basis, summarize and analyze reports along with the month-end closing responsibilities.

  • Investigate/resolve account discrepancies.

  • Apply 80/20 thinking and sound judgment to reduce complexity and work with team to simplify processes.  Monitor, report, and drive toolbox projects.

  • Provide business unit support for Solid Wire including P&L preparation and analytics, account reconciliations, inventory and part number management, and annual plan preparation.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.

  • 3+ years of work experience in credit/collections with responsibility for direct customer contact. 

  • Ability to resolve issues/conflicts in a timely manner.

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Aggressive self-starter who is able to function under minimal supervision.

  • Strong oral, and written communication skills is required.

  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word).

  • Proven track record of leadership, strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, effective listening skills, and approachability.

  • Personally exhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of the customer base.

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of proper accounting treatment for accounts receivable transactions and activities.

  • Must be able to multi-task effectively.
