Position Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor – Deltar Fasteners will report to the Business Unit Controller – Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible to supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of workers engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the duties of the position.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Compiles financial reports from individual reports of subordinates required by management
  • Supervises and participates in preparing and auditing materials requiring analyses of supporting documents and ensures that all entries are entered into the system properly
  • Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures
  • Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, customers, and the public
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
  • Serving as a backup and/or assisting, as needed, in functional accounting responsibilities (collections, invoicing, A/R cash application, processing credit card payments, A/P voucher processing, handling customer/vendor calls, etc.)
  • Directly supervises all Accounting Clerks
  • Manage payroll items for the accounting team and code all location payroll activities
  • Manage annual Physical Inventory process
  • Ad hoc sales and financial analysis
  • Manages internal audit procedures for the Division (Chippewa Falls, Frankfort & Nexus)
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring and training employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees 
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

  • Have a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one through two years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public 
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States
