The Opportunity
 
We have an exciting opportunity within our Inside Sales Team.  This position shares accountability for sales of Instron products and accessories with a field based Sales Engineer for a specific geographic territory.  Specific responsibilities include:
 
  • Pro-actively qualifying leads generated through our website, tradeshows and call-ins.
  • Directly sells after-market products including a wide range of accessories.
  • Implements territory sales call plan to build relationships with existing customers and to identify and qualify prospects.
  • Coordinates with the product line Applications Engineers for backup and specialty technical support including applications requirements, competitive selling, systems configurations and custom quotations.
 

Requirements

Successful applicants will have experience gained in sales or sales administration.  Specific requirements include:
 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Professional and energetic phone presence and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Extremely responsive with a positive attitude.
  • Solid computer skills and full command of all MS Office products.  CPQ (Quoting Tool) and CRM experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work with several individuals while showing independence in balancing and prioritizing their requests.  Requires experience at handling multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Ability to assimilate technical information.
