Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and hands-on leader to fill our Project Engineer position based at the Washington, NC plant. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

 Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of assigned projects, including responsibility for budget and timeline
  • Coordination of all activities on assigned projects, ensuring on-time completion
  • Work closely with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders during project execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Participate in the design, selection, commissioning and qualification of new equipment and automation
  • Participate in the design, development and validation of new products
  • Develop documentation required for product manufacture and conduct associated training
  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to existing products, processes and equipment
  • Developing long and short-term capital plans, and ensuring that all projects are planned properly, and the results are achievable

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study

  • Minimum of 3+ years or equivalent engineering experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Engineering principles and its application in solving complex problems

  • Works independently and with teams (technical teams and cross-functional teams)

  • Independently tests, analyzes and solves technical problems

  • Experience in Injection Molding and high-volume manufacturing preferred

  • Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision

  • Personally driven to excel

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results driven, team-oriented environment

  • Up to 15% travel
