Supply Chain Analyst - Norwood, MA

The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for the data analysis of the 10,000+ parts in the Instron portfolio, these parts could be purchased, manufactured or configured parts.
Primary duties and responsibilities
  • Monitor the stocking positions through analysis is past usage and future forecast and adjust lot sizes and order points accordingly or make recommendations to the buyers
  • Develop on going metrics tools for operations (dashboards, etc) for the measurement of OTD, Quality and Parts Delivery status
  • Process requisitions to buyers from the MRP system
  • Monitor on going Slow and Obsolete material in the system and suggest actions to the responsible teams
  • Download BOMs from Agile and build data models that could be used for planning purposes
  • Develop reports for various annual reporting requirements, such as vendor spend, Kanban class review etc
  • Maintain previously developed dashboards in Power BI and Excel

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certificates in data analysis
  • Must be proficient in advance Excel and ability to demonstrate (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting, arithmetic formulae)
  • Knowledge of Power BI development is a plus
  • Familiar with an updated ERP system (SAP, JDE, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
  • Proven track record or display of analytical and communication skills
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and departments
  • KanBan inventory knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to display innovative thinking, outside-the-box problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge of the ITW Tool-box or projects based on the 80/20 principle is a plus
