About this Position

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join the Residential business.  Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is accountable for ensuring safe efficient manufacturing of products to the company’s best practice and quality control guidelines in line with business and customer expectations.  Co-ordinate production staff activities, responsible for leading and developing the production team through providing direction and ensuring that employees understand their roles and team performance objectives. To ensure all company operating procedures and WHS policies and procedures are met. This Role will be based in Ingleburn.

 Some of the Key Responsibilities will Include:

  • Instill a positive safety culture through committed and visible leadership, creating a workforce which engages with safe practice, safe systems and safe behavior.
  • Take reasonable care for own health & safety as well as the health & safety of all stakeholders across the site.  Promptly report any workplace hazards &/or incidents in line with company policy.
  • Investigate any accident or incident that causes lost time or medical treatment to establish root cause and to identify corrective actions to implement
  • Build a high performing team with a safety first, continuous improvement focus. 
  • Coach, mentor and develop talent by providing tools and techniques that improve their effectiveness and enhance team building. 
  • Facilitate a proactive collaborative culture, where operators take ownership and accountability for their respective areas.  Identify and develop potential future leaders.
  • Ensure all production requirements are met in full, on time and within budget.
  • Identify the causes of any variances and provide corrective actions to mitigate under performance.
  • Utilise team in the most efficient manner to meet production goals.
  • Ensure quality standards are met utilising control systems.  Ensure all equipment and machinery is operational and maintained in a good working order.
  • Drive a continuous improvement cultural within the team and take a lead role in implementing ITW tool box continuous improvement activities that address safety, quality, and efficiency. 
  • Champion ITW culture & values & drive alignment, lead and coach.

 Selection Criteria:

  • Strong commitment to building Safety and high-performance culture
  • Knows how to build & leverage influential relationships across functions/business to deliver results
  • Effective communication & leadership skills with demonstrated experience in performance management.
  • Proficient computer and written skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
