Job Description


The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates and drive actions that achieve results in key areas of the business including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost savings as identified business requirements. Within this role the warehouse supervisor shall be a positive culture leader and influencer, develop employee/teams, and promote an engaged and safe workplace environment.


• Direct management of Warehouse Broad Band associates (approximately 12-20 associates)

• Provide information and collaborate with team to effectively manage distribution scheduling and resource planning – multi-shift-operation

• Spends majority of time in distribution to improve line activity cost

• Coach and develop hourly workforce team consistent with ITW core values

• Resolve problems causing Distribution shortfalls, inadequate inventory, cycle count discrepancies

• Make recommendations and suggestion on process, tools, and equipment that would drive positive/optimized change management

• Warehouse management of ABC inventory for optimized put-away, pick, and associated stock rotation

• Actively participate in the network of inter-company peers and subject matter experts for consultation on best practices that provide superior cost, quality, and delivery of our products to our customers (i.e., Enterprise Production Coordinator meeting)

• Lead safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost saving initiatives through employee involvement ITW toolbox principles.

• Mentor team members to resolve conflict in a fair, consistent, and empowered manner within a team environment.

• Support the ITW Enterprise mindset across the division and effectively communicate ITW Values and Culture

• Coach and develop effective communication to personnel at all levels within the organization and build key relationships with employees and leadership team.

• Assess & evaluate team members’ performance and key-performance-indicators to remain aligned with business objectives and goals.

• Work closely with support staff and Human Resources.


  • 5+ years of related distribution and warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or actively pursuing a business/operations-related degree.
  • Project Management, Performance Management, Technical & Financial acumen desired.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills - providing formal and informal feedback to employees.
  • Displays great organizational skills with an understanding on prioritization and driving results.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and set strategy.
  • Able to create visual analytical data for all key warehouse activities.
  • Detailed understanding of warehouse equipment, and its interrelationship regarding distribution flow and efficiency.
  • Strong initiative and follow through with the drive to learn, whilst recognizing and solving fulfillment problems.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts, quality measurements, and OSHA requirements.
  • Proven ability to apply ITW principles in a warehousing environment.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, takes personal accountability, coaches, listens, is approachable, and resolves issues/conflicts in timely manner.
  • Exhibits encouragement of diverse ideas, with a focus on coaching/developing strengths of team members, and the ability to facilitate effective communication between shifts.
  • Customer-focused with management, support staff, customers, and suppliers; understand how the business functions link together to support the customer.
  • Strong oral, written, and computer skills (ex. Macola, Microsoft Office).
  • Use 80/20 in managing all aspects of the role.
