Job Description

Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.


• Prepare monthly financial reporting package, including journal entries and review of balance sheet accounts, and variance analysis

• Review and approve Accounts Payable invoices and customer credit memo requests

• Interface with corporate Treasury and handle all inter-company monies through BMG

• Interface with internal and external auditors, as well as corporate accounting and finance personnel

• Daily inventory posting and reconciliation

• Co-plan and oversee annual physical inventory to ensure compliance with required accounting policies and procedures

• Establish product cost for items not costed in company business systems

• Validate internal control processes and data integrity for payroll processing

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

• CPA certification a plus


• 5 or more years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• Must possess key leadership qualities, including flexibility, reliability, self-starter and effective team player and communicator

• A positive attitude focused on understanding, anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers, both internal and external to the department and company

• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with an aptitude to work accurately and quickly


Must be able to:

• Perform activities including bending, stooping, standing, walking

• Stand and walk from one (1) to six (6) hours per day

• Climb up and down stairs four (4) to six (6) times per day

• Operate common office equipment, i.e. PC, phone, copier, printer, fax

• Work in climate controlled office environment

• Work occasionally in climate controlled plant, specifically during physical inventory count

• Travel infrequently by various means of transportation, including car, train, bus, plane
