Software Quality Assurance Engineer

As a member of Software Quality Assurance team, you will work to measure quality level of software and firmware products under development.  In addition, you will work with our existing Software Quality team as outlined below focused on developing test scripts using a commercial automated test package and expand our existing in-house software test tool.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Follows the established ISO procedures for carrying out the above tasks
  • Execute complex test cases requiring applications knowledge
  • Creates test cases for new application features
  • Document manual testing on all products based upon high level test plans.Works in conjunction with developers to meet software goals
  • Aptitude to learn test automation software to implement automated test programs using appropriate tools and methodologies
  • Participates in specification, design, and code reviews as needed to improve the quality of these reviews
Knowledge, Skills, & Ability Required:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or relevant experience (minimum of one year) in software development or test
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required. This position must work effectively with product development team members, SQA team members, and project managers
  • Software engineering skill to design and code automated tests, object- oriented programming concepts
  • Programming knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. JavaScript, Python)
  • Ability to communicate both verbal and written instruction and ideas to others
  • Ability to write clear and complete process documentation and test plans
