Job Description

Basic Description:

Responsible for providing excellent customer service and answer technical calls for all Welding Accessories & Consumables product line (Gas Regulation & Oxy Fuel Equipment, Service Parts &  Consumables, Helmets & Safety Products, Filtair, Live Arc and Augmented Arc). Responsibilites include diagnostic troubleshooting the above noted equipment, Software applications, administering warranty, entering service files and working with sustaining engineering identifying failure trends to improve warranty.

Essential Functions:

•  Handle phone calls on a repetitive basis relating to the service, repair, and application  of the products including look up of Service Parts for all current and historical Miller welding products.

•  Create service files in Service Warranty system to effectively administer warranty claims; repair and test of returned equipment from the field

•  Participate on product development teams and product support initiatives focused on internal and external suppliers

•  Help manage the demonstration assets that the business unit has for customers and sales team, including the tracking, communication and process of the demo returns

•  Help with Applications support of Engineered Centralized Industrial ventilation fume extraction systems

Minimum Qualifications:

• Customer service & support experience

• Associate Degree or enrolled in an Electromechanical or similair studies.

• Excellent verbal communication skills and enjoy verbal interaction with others.

• Welding Processes and Miller Product line knowledge

• Experience and willingness to learn diverse Miller ERP computer operating systems, such as the Service Warranty App, Aplus, Intranet, Omnify, Extranet and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of a welder & motor starters.

• Desire to continue to grow professionally through experiences, exposure and focused training.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

•  Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for Level 1 computer hardware and software issues, installing applications and navigating directories/files within Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

•   Electrical troubleshooting skills for Filtair, Livearc and Augmented Arc products

•  Travel to customer locations for technical support of the product

•  Associate Degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology

•  At least 1 year of customer service and troubleshooting skills

•  At least 1 year of welding systems product experience
