Job Description

SUMMARY:  As a dynamic and results oriented Regional Sales Manager, you will drive business growth initiatives that leverage our highly differentiated solutions and achieve significant financial growth for Performance Polymers within our NA Transportation Segment.   The region consists of, but may not be limited to, NC, SC, TN, FL, GA, VA, , MD, MS, AL, and LA.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Promote, support and adhere to all safety and quality related policies and procedures.

  • Tactical and operational planning with Segment Manager to determine primary objectives within region.

  • Develop and implement a robust plan to achieve significant growth within the territory.

  • Provide technical support to our end users via detailed plant auditing and training that reinforces our value proposition for the customer base.

  • Develop and support a robust channel network that includes an established distribution base as well as strategic direct end-users.

  • Develop a high competency in the understanding and utilization of the ITW Tool Box concepts, most notably the 80/20 Front to Back strategy.

  • Identify market needs, trends, and opportunities within assigned territory. 

  • Effectively manage allotted budget and resources.

  • Develop a disciplined competency in the understanding and utilization of our SalesForce.com CRM.

  • Effectively communicate with others inside and outside of the company in a tactful, courteous manner to promote customer service orientation. 

  • Identify and resolve customer pain points and offer solutions.

  • Perform market/channel projects as required by the overall business strategy.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of sales experience is required within the manufacturing/industrial market.  Adhesives experienced preferred.

 A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, a science related discipline, or equivalent is required.

 

Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.

Must have a Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel 50 percent plus.

 

Ability to sit and stand for up to 8 hours/day.

Ideal candidate resides in NC.   The location is flexible in one of the states within the assigned territory.

 

 

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • 5 to 10 year’s sales experience in Industrial Markets

  • History of selling into the transportation with proven success.

  • Technical proficiency with regard to structural adhesives.
