Quality Manager

The Opportunity
This role is based within Instron’s Static division and is responsible to work closely with senior leadership to establish and execute the global quality strategy for the division.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a proven track record for process improvement with strong leadership and change management skills. 
 
Requirements
Successful candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science as well as at least ten years in quality assurance with a capital equipment manufacturer.  Additional requirements include:
 
  • Ability to lead and influence without formal authority and drive change across the organization.
  • Strong advocate for the customer, both external and internal to the organization.
  • Proven track record of driving quality improvements in a mature lean manufacturing environment.
  • Provides leadership to ensure Instron’s Quality Management System (QMS) complies with relevant ISO standards and customer specifications/requirements.
  • Lead meetings and teams engaged in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for products that did not meet our customers’ expectations for quality, safety, delivery and performance.
  • Trains and mentors the organization in the effective use of RCCA tools.
  • Manage the global customer satisfaction program and lead business process changes that will deliver improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Works with the supply chain team to establish, track and improve external supplier quality.
