The Elgin location is responsible for successful product delivery to all of Shakeproof Automotive’s OEM and Tier/ Distribution customers.


●  Champion of Divisional IATF 16949 Standard, responsible for maintaining certification.

o  Lead Auditee for all Manufacturing Locations during 3rd Party Audits

●  Process Owner for Internal Audit Program, responsible for:

o  Setting Annual Schedule

o  Performing Internal Audits

o  Reviewing Audit Reports and determining need for corrective action.

o  Ensuring Audit Schedule is met

●  Reviews and approves all proposed changes to existing documentation within the current Quality Management System.

●  Works towards continual improvement of the Quality Management System through:

o  Specific Projects addressing Non-Conformances from all audit sources

o  Simplification of documentation in the Quality Management System

●  Maintains Annual Customer Submissions, including but not limited to:

o  Ford Manufacturing Site Assessments (Facilitator with the Plant Personnel, Responsible for on-time submission)

o  Conflict Mineral Reporting (CMRT)

o  CQI Annual Submissions

●  Maintains Customer Specific Requirements Master List and ensures CSR’s are met and audited to ensure compliance.

●  Works towards developing additional Internal Auditors across all departments within the organization.

●  Utilize the ITW Toolbox (80/20, PLS, USa) to suggest and implement process and system improvements.

●  Support Supplier Quality with Vendor audits as requested.

●  Other responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements


●  Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Field

●  IATF Certified Lead Auditor

●  5 years of Internal Auditing experience

●  Past experience in automotive quality

●  Strong communication skills

●  Ability to read and interpret documents

●  Able to communicate effectively through written documentation

●  Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

●  Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

●  Ability to travel between manufacturing sites in support of Audits. (10-20% annually)
