Job Description

ITW Rippey is currently accepting resumes for a Process Engineer.  This position is responsible for coordinating and actively participating in creating a sustainable and multi-functional culture of continuous improvement that delivers results. 

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Analyze and evaluate methods of production, maintaining our strict environmental requirements and progress tracking of improvement action plans.

·         Develop and implement process improvements to process stability/margin, optimize productivity, and reduce cost and cycle time.

·         Develop, implement and sustain continuous lean process improvements, shop methods, fixtures, procedures and troubleshooting issues involving plant equipment, machinery, tooling and other technical functions necessary to meet customer needs.

·         Train and mentor employees in process improvement techniques to build a stronger competency and culture.

·         Ensure proper and continuous operation of the manufacturing equipment and systems.

·         Provide technical support for quality control, new product launches, equipment qualifications and process validations.  Investigate Quality issues for root cause and recommend/implement corrective and preventive countermeasure(s).

·         Execute training and deploy the tools, principals and processes that enhance safety and eliminate waste.

·         Monitor, analyze and evaluate test data in conjunction with legacy and new process/product trials. 

·         Understand current environmental requirements for the manufacturing site such as wastewater and air emissions and coordinate activities with the regulatory agencies.

·         Develop process flow charts, standard work and plant/equipment layout.

·         Make proposals/recommendations with regards to capital equipment purchases, cost reduction opportunities and Supplier/Vendor selection.

·         Provide technical support for machinery and equipment to operators.

·         Specify and procure new fixtures, equipment and tooling needed to meet safety, quality and production requirements.

·         Interface with our Customers on Quality performance and technical issues.

·         All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred). 

·         Master’s degree in Engineering is a plus.

·         Five years or more related experience in manufacturing and engineering processes;

·         or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Effective communication, both verbal and with PC based tools.

·         Strong project management skills required.

·         Some travel may be required.
