Mechanical Engineer 3

Hobart is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group, an Illinois Tool Works Fortune 200 company, and is a recognized leader among commercial food equipment worldwide. The Hobart Food Machines division is located in Troy, Ohio, and is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer. The selected candidate will report to the Engineering Manager - Food Machines.

We are seeking an engineer with a passion for innovation who can champion projects from conception to production. The selected candidate will have the ability to think creatively and translate your ideas into robust, efficient designs. From there you will use your engineering and communication skills to prototype, document and validate designs as they become a reality. We want a team player who thrives in a challenging, collaborative, cross functional environment.

Job Requirements

  Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related degree.

  5+ years of engineering-related experience.

  Experience with 3D Solid Modeling using tools such as Solidworks.

  Finite Element Analysis.

  Familiarity with other engineering disciplines, including electrical design, software development, etc.

  The ability to understand and follow established documentation standards.

  The ability to build relationships across the organization.

  Good communication skills and the use of personal computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, etc.

  Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market with understanding and respect for all phases of the product development process;

  Demonstrated record of meeting deadlines and goals for design projects.

  Must be a creative thinker, adaptable, flexible, along with high level organizational and planning skills.

  Desire for personal growth, career development and to contribute to the success of the organization.

  Project Leadership experience including scheduling, budgets and tracking cross functional task assignments.
