Job Description

The IT Applications Manager is a standalone role, which is responsible for ensuring that the IT applications across the division, are delivered to provide the right capabilities and deliver the right outcomes, cost effectively.

Located at our Head Office in Chirnside Park and reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Applications Manager’s accountabilities span across planning, development and support for all business applications.

You will be responsible for:


  • Identify business capability gaps and improvement opportunities.  Engage the business, build cooperative relationships and lead business analysis to determine the right solution for delivering the right business outcome
  • Manage business applications to ensure consistency with applications strategy, architecture and roadmaps
  • Work with the business to drive effective prioritisation of current and pipeline work.  Advise and manage trade-offs between scope, resource, cost and time
  • Implement business solutions, manage the full development cycle covering both projects and application enhancements
  • Manage vendor relationships, develop / review service agreements and uphold vendors to respective service levels
  • Manage data and analytics platform to support business intelligence and reporting needs across the organisation

About you:

Ideally suited to someone looking to move from a technical/consulting background and looking for the next step in their career, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in leading multi-faceted business transformation and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ability to understand existing changing business needs and translate into functional requirements
  • Ability to champion the customer experience and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. An effective influencer that can develop and sell the business case to entrepreneurially minded business executives.
  • Ability to balance daily support needs with long-term strategy and successfully combine vision and reality into effective plans
  • A strong base of IT Applications experience including ERPs, Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence systems
  • Practical knowledge of ERP (Preferably Pronto) and Microsoft technologies.
