Job Description

E-Learning & Development Specialist
This position is responsible for supporting the Learning and Organizational Development team with the development and delivery of online training and educational initiatives. This position will serve in both e-learning design capacity; (80% e-learning design; 20% learning management). This role will be focused on the creation of excellent online training and delivery, as well as implementing full gamification of our micro training program.
Additional responsibilities may include troubleshooting training issues and serving as a liaison to user groups; annual education and regulatory compliance training and development; course design, course delivery and tracking; and facilitating other education, as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 80% CORE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Professional communication that influences functional experts in areas of relevant content.
  • Very strong customer support skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Collaboration with Service Training team and other departments to create new e-learning training for role-based learning programs.
  • Working with instructors and SMEs to document curriculum for workshops, classroom and online training.
  • Translate design requirements into functional learning modules; manage user acceptance testing process.
  • Incorporating varied delivery alternatives, including self-study, instructor-led, computer-based, web-enabled and other options.
  • Design, develop and maintain materials such as manuals, participant guides, training updates, quick reference guides.
  • Design professional materials via multi-media, as well as participant deliverables suitable for both internal and external use.Participate in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and creative solutions to improve policies, processes tools and reusable templates.
  • Ability to work independently along with the ability to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities, and tight deadlines.
  • Monitors and evaluates the impact of training
  • Provide ongoing support to LMS and other systems used by the department.
  • Administer the LMS system including creating course components, creating/modifying course configurations, etc.
  • Develop and revise LMS administration guidelines and procedures, as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITY 20% BUSINESS SPECIFIC
  • Work to ensure the existing modules are current and of high quality; solicit and evaluate feedback on existing learning modules.
  • Identifies ongoing and re-training needs and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct both primary and secondary research (researches trends, collects relevant external data) as needed for training development.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • 4 years’ experience in instructional designDemonstrated adult learning and training evaluation experience.
    • Specific experience developing high quality, interactive e-Learning, and outstanding video editing skills.
    • 2 years of training coordination experience.
    • 2 years of LMS administration experience.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Communications, Computer Science, or a similar field required.
    • Courses in education and training desirable.
  • Special Skills:
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Fosters a spirit of collaboration and teamwork in all aspects of job function.
    • Knowledge of needs assessment techniques
    • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision-making abilities
    • Experience applying adult learning theory principles to creating eLearning or blended learning solutions
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.
    • Proven experience with online learning development tools (such as: Adobe Captivate, Articulate Suite, Storyline, Engage, or equivalent).
    • Demonstrated experience with incorporating multiple media elements in to learning programs including audio, video, animation, simulation, 3D modeling and graphics.
    • Expert-level knowledge of LMS applications (ability to learn new systems quickly.)
