POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is a key position at ITW Polymers Sealants (a division of ITW) required to meet and exceed the growth and profitability goals and ensure that the business remains a market leader. This position leverages first hand understanding of customer needs, excellent communication skills and leadership instincts to correctly position our premium chemical solutions within the market leveraging their strong brand identities.

A qualified Marketing Manager is responsible for managing communications, programs and market support under the direction of the Strategic Marketing Director. They will promote a strong market orientation, influence strategy formation and develop strategic positioning within the market. The will work closely with the Segment Marketing Managers to create and launch value propositions. The Marketing Manager is responsible for directing integrated marketing communications strategy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet with customers to understand customer needs and messaging requirements.

• Responsible for digital market strategy and resulting analytics to measure effectiveness.

• Work with Segment Marketing Managers to understand competitive promotional and messaging activities.

• Take ownership of website including redesign to maximize customer experience, SEO activities, creation of landing pages and track web analytics.

• Create value-add online content such as infographics, calculators, job estimators, comparison charts, solicit reviews and more to educate and drive customers down the path to purchase.

• Define and manage creation of marketing content and collaterals for both print and digital platforms (case studies, advertising, sales tools, brochures, video and web content).

• Delivering measurable projects and campaigns on time, within budget and to a consistently high quality.

• Manage agency interface for creating print and web production.

• Manage tradeshows to maximize booth traffic and manage lead capture on site; support channel partners for regional events.

• Manage collateral inventory and samples.

• Leverage all ITW corporate business philosophies in all aspects of communication. management and decision making and actively participate in on-going project teams that maximize overall organizational effectiveness.

• Assist in Long Range Planning process.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field as well as 3+ years of marketing communication experience is required

• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate to purchase

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal required

• Strategic vision, positioning in the market

• Ability to prioritize multiple requests

• Ability to work in fast pace entrepreneurial environment

• Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of thriving in a team environment

• Possess an insatiable curiosity, persistence and strong sense of initiative

• Ability to deliver results through exceptional project management skills and natural leadership capabilities

• Ability to effectively interact and present to both peer group and senior management

• Strong computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Adobe In- Design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• B2B experience in construction, industrial or chemical business is preferred

• Ability to interpret and leverage end user research to build effective messaging

• Experience in developing a digital footprint, on-line and mobile interactive sales and customer tools

• Tradeshow and program management

• Ability to work within a cross functional team

• Ability to work within a budget

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Highly collaborative marketing team environment

• Daily interactions with the Sales Team.

• Traditional office environment with the benefit of flexible working hours

• Must have a desire to travel as required, occasionally on short notice. Travel amounts will vary depending on event schedules and research needs. Expect on the order of 20% travel.

• Success is measured by the execution of the strategic marketing plan that ties to Division goals along with defined revenue growth and profitability metrics.
