Job Description

Job Title:                 Customer Service Sales Advisor


Reports To:             Internal Sales Manager


Business Unit:        Hobart UK Service


Purpose of Job:     Responsible for renewing existing Service Agreements and identifying sales opportunities with existing customers


Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:


  • Proactive approach to ensure that all renewal documents are sent out within the required timescales

  • Ensure all customer correspondence (emails) are responded to in a timely manner.

  • Maintain all company systems with up to date and accurate details of each service contract such as contact details, site information and equipment details.

  • Proactively follow up repair quotes to current customers by telephone to confirm prices and convert opportunities to sales.

  • Remain up to date with initiatives and competitors within our market

  • Meet individual objectives and development goals whilst contributing to team and department targets

  • The post-holder must comply with the Company’s Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct.

  • Responsible to comply with GDPR regulations in line with company policy

  • Conduct yourself in a safe manner and support the company Enterprise Strategy to achieve our target of zero medical treated and lost time accidents; to support our company wide safety culture.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Identify issues and improvements within own team and work with management to drive performance and continuous improvement

  • Undertake additional duties as required including supporting other teams, commensurate with the level of the job.

 Monday to Friday 37.5 hours between 9.00am and 5.00pm

 * if your contract requires you to work you receive a day in lieu for any worked bank holidays

Job Requirements

Key Skills and Attributes:


We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of dealing with customers directly. Experience within a similar role, where you have a proven record of business retention is preferred but not essential.

  • Highly motivated, resilient and results driven.

  • Excellent telephone manner, with the ability to build strong relationships

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite essential, including excel

  • Experience using databases would be advantageous but not essential

  • Ability to priorities work and multi-task
