Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Set-up and operate CNC machines while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality and housekeeping metrics.
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Operate CNC machines and/or other manufacturing equipment as required.
2. Perform daily maintenance on CNC machines machines.
3. Set-up and program CNC machines per drawings and specifications. Complete all dimensional checks after setup is complete.
4. Perform quality checks and document (where applicable), using gages, precision measuring devices and visual inspection.
5. Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment). Use proper Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
6. Assist with daily scheduling and tooling inventory.
7. Manually handle parts from work-in-process containers to shipping containers.  Move containers as required using pallet jacks, forklift, hand carts, etc.
8. Prepare and maintain accurate records (route sheets and count sheets).
9. Clean equipment and keep work area neat and orderly.
10. Participate as a Trainer when necessary.
11. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
 
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
Usual manufacturing environment with regular exposures to noise and dirt.  Moderate to high physical activity, involving routine lifting. Intermittent cold and hot temperatures.
 

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 3-5 years CNC machining experience.  Must have the ability to set-up, operate, and program various CNC turning and milling machines.  Must be able to troubleshoot CNC machines with various controls.
