Business Relationship Manager, Information Technology – Norwood, MA

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Global Director of Business Systems and IT, this role will focus on gaining an understanding of Instron’s Global Enterprise Architecture and building valued, trusted relationships with Service leadership.  This senior role will build Business System roadmaps and manage the delivery of them with the Instron IT delivery team and external contractors and vendors. 

A key responsibility of this position will be to represent Instron’s core business processes and operations while demonstrating strategic use of technology to optimize business objectives.  Additionally, a proven ability to facilitate creative solutions, conduct business analysis and soliciting, understanding and verifying business requirements.  This position will involve close and detailed contact up and down the management chain and managing direct reports and project staff who possess specialized knowledge and expertise.  Some global travel to Instron’s locations is required.


Candidates should possess formal education or several years of work experience in a relevant business or technology discipline.  Additional requirements include:
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Result orientated.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to facilitate and drive change.
  • Demonstrated experience with a toolbox of techniques delivering a proven track record of results.
  • A global mindset. Must be culturally aware and be able to build constructive and effective relationships across the organization.
  • A positive attitude focused on understanding, anticipating and responding to the needs of our customers, both internal and external to the department and organization.
