Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operate high speed mixing equipment 
  • Follow instructions/information on Batch Cards and Job Tickets to perform duties 
  • Maintain accurate inventory of components, use Kan Ban inventory card system 
  • Move 55-gallon drum to 5-gallon pails to production lines, manually or with use of proper equipment 
  • Make minor adjustments to equipment as needed 
  • Setup, change over, and cleanup machines and work area daily 
  • Follow all safety, work, and good manufacturing practices, procedures, rules 
  • Assist with cycle count inventory and year-end inventory process 
  • Practice respectful interactions with coworkers, vendors and customers 
  • Use proper PPE as required, full mask respirator may be required for select batches 
  • Act in accordance with all company policies and procedures 
  • Responsible for filling product with the use of a machine or manually  
  • Drive counter balance forklift safely 
  • Maintain hazardous waste inspections and disposal/storage requirements. 
  • Responsible for checking quality of production throughout run 
  • Responsible for adherence to all environmental, health, safety, housekeeping and quality and work standards set for this company.  
  • Responsible for the adherence to all work instructions. 
  • Maintain receiving and warehousing of raw materials for the area
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Job Requirements

Core Skills/Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • 1-3 years prior chemical batch making/blending experience a plus 
  • Mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot machines, adjust dials/switches, use basic hand tools 
  • Kan Ban inventory system experience a plus 
  • Detailed oriented, produce accurate work 
  • Accurately read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports, and other documents required to perform the job duties 
  • Able to work a full-time schedule that may include overtime
  • Possess basic math skills to perform essential duties of job.   Able to calculate percentages, measurement conversions, addition, subtraction and multiplication
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Basic computer skills to perform duties of job, record and retrieve information from the computer 
  • Able to work in a repetitive, fast paced environment 
  • Must be dependable, have good attendance, and be punctual
  • Sit or stand at machine for long periods of time 
  • Represent self professionally
