Alpine is seeking a Software Tester to join the team in our Grand Prairie, TX office. In this role, you'll join an Agile Scrum team responsible for building and working on applications within Alpine’s suite of software products. The Software Tester will participate in all areas of development including design, coding, and testing in collaboration with the team, with a main focus on creating, updating and executing tests which are affected by that work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with an Agile Scrum team to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based applications
  • Aid in gathering and documenting requirements in the form of Agile Epics, User Stories, and tasks.
  • Prepare software documentation including technical diagrams and manuals on the design, use, and operation of the software
  • Develop, update, and perform manual and automated tests for applications according to company standards
  • Facilitates or perform random testing of all components to ensure software quality.
  • Participate in peer review sessions of solutions and related code

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in Computer Science or Engineering related fields
  • One or more years of experience as a Software Tester
  • Understanding of one or more Development Methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
  • Thorough understanding of Test Methodologies and when to apply them
  • Ability to understand and document complex processes and procedures
  • Excellent problem solving and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in teams and independently
