Position Summary

There is an opening at QSA Global, Inc. for a Senior Buyer located in Burlington, MA. The Senior Buyer takes a leading role in QSA Global, Inc.’s procurement process, which includes strategic sourcing, supplier and contract negotiation, project management, cost management, supplier relationship management and supplier compliance. This role involves significant supplier interaction and collaboration with internal stakeholders. The individual will effectively apply the ITW Toolbox to the entire procurement and supplier management process.


Core Responsibilities

•         Manage relationships with suppliers, set and measure standards of performance (KPI’s). Acts as a point of contact for suppliers within assigned scope of responsibility and manages day-to-day supplier relationships, including service, deliver, quality, and billing issues.

•         Manage Lean supply flow for primary products using 80/20 and Kanban principles. Stocking policies/inventory plans for other assigned products may be via the analysis of historical sales trends, new product launches and sales funnel activity.

•         Identifies and executes cost savings opportunities which involves managing competitive bids and negotiating with suppliers. Efforts include: Researching suppliers, managing quotation process, analyzing supplier’s value propositions and KPI’s, negotiating terms and drafting contracts, managing supplier performance.

•         Monitors contract compliance with all agreements in assigned categories.

•         Identifies and supports projects to streamline the Procurement process.

•         Collects and analyzes relevant market information to maintain understanding of operations, cost drivers and market dynamics.

•         Ensure business system data is maintained complete and accurate as a working platform for purchasing (BoMs, Suppliers, Prices, and Lead Times, inventory levels, etc).

•         Bachelor’s degree required in a business or technical discipline

•         5+ years of purchasing experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment

•         Strong relationship, contract negotiation and sourcing skills

•         Excellent project management and analysis skills

•         Strong oral and written communication skills

•         Results orientated with creative problem-solving skills

•         Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement

•         Certification by APICS or ISM is preferred

•         Experience working in an ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 environment preferred

•         Ability to travel up to 10%
