BASIC DESCRIPTION:

The Industrial Equipment Division is looking for a highly motivated Engineer for a position on our Quality Engineering team. This position will include Quality Control/Assurance activities and continuous improvement of all industrial welding products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Function as a quality resource in the division to address and resolve product issues that may arise both internally and externally.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues and achieve quality goals & improve quality metrics.
  • Trouble shoot printed circuit boards
  • Analyze and communicate quality reporting metrics and data
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel to drive quality conversations regarding manufacturing processes
  • Work closely with the Sustaining Engineering team, Operations, Product Management, Customer Service, and our end users to improve current products and assure customer satisfaction via Product Quality and issue resolution.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of focus products as well as overall product quality improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting, compliance testing, documentation, and manufacturing support
  • Understanding of PCB layout
  • Must be able to work effectively as an individual or in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Limited travel may be required.
  • Has attained, or is willing to attain CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or related certification in quality engineering principles
  • Experience with data collecting, monitoring, and analytics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PCB manufacturing processes.
  • ISO 9001 and UL specifications
  • Experience with supplier quality traceability and verification processes
