JOB DESCRIPTION  

Title:  

Product Marketing Manager – Chemicals  

Reports to: Group Marketing Manager  

Location: Lakeland Florida  

Summary: This individual will be responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This  

includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, as well as prioritizing product  

requirements, and working closely with all departments to deliver successful new products and  

marketing executions.  

This position collaborates with the Group Marketing Manager to set the strategic vision for several  

market-leading brands in the Professional Automotive Channels. The Product Marketing Manager  

has a track record of results, exhibiting leadership capabilities and desire to continue to develop in  

marketing management. Every department of ITW ProAP will work and interact with this individual  

(Finance, R&D, Innovations, Supply Chain, Sales, etc.). Ultimately, the Product Marketing Manager  

will be judged on his/her performance to meet marketing campaign KPI targets and timely execution  

of projects.  

Duties and Responsibilities  





Set plans and strategy to grow the product portfolio.  

Scope and prioritize marketing activities based on business and customer impact  

Drive product launches by working with sales, supply chain, and marketing colleagues  

Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product strategy for the  

professional channels, and that the message is effectively conveyed  



Become the product expert to build awareness and understanding  

Develop strong working relationship with Sales and help create sales tools needed in major  

customer line reviews and sales presentations  


Cultivate relationships and strategic partnerships with key internal parties to work  

effectively with cross functional teams and secure internal buy-in.  





Work with design team to evaluate creative and provide strong constructive feedback.  

Help manage the grassroots initiatives, advertising development, and media planning.  

Responsible for all professional channel brand packaging and graphic updates.  

Supports Innovations in new product development via ensuring new products are in line  

with brand strategy, trends, and future needs shared by key customers.  

Requirements:  


Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years marketing, merchandising, product management, or related  

experience  


Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to effectively interact and  

present to multiple levels of organization  

Must be able to travel up to 20% of time  

Clear understanding of general marketing principles  

Strong analytical skills
